Firegirl  By Tony Abbott

Firegirl was a very touching story about a boy's life.  It shows that sometimes you have to stand up for what is right.  This is a great story for boys and girls.  The story is about a girl that got burned in a car accident, and a young boy who hung out with her.  It's a great book, but you have to be mentally ready.

Viola in Reel Life   By Adriana Trigiani

Viola in Reel Life  is about a 14year old girl named Viola Chesterson.  Her parents are movie makers.  This book is about Viola and how she's forced to leave Brooklyn, NY., LaGuardia High School, leave her friends behind, and go to Prefect Academy (a boarding school in South Bend, Indiana, all girls).  When she gets there she suddenly realizes she'll be away from her parents for one whole year. (way too long for her).  But on her first day she decides to wear bright yellow patent leather flats.  BIG MISTAKE.  This story is about how Viola goes to a dance, eats disturbing school food, gets 5 kisses, enters a movie contest, spends Thanksgiving in Chicago, and stays at PA for Christmas.  Will her relatonship last?  Will she win the contest?  Will her Christmas be a success?  Read the book and I'll bet you can find out...

RagTag by Karl Wolf-Morgenlander

RagTag by Karl Wolf-Morgenlander has no pictures, but it is a really good book.  It is about birds in a city getting ready to fight birds of prey like hawks and swallows rising above all.  If it was on a scale of one to ten I would give it a ten.  I am not going to tell you any more. You will just have to read it.
